This year marked the 100th anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli, the beginning of the first major military campaign fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during World War I.

Jackie Robinson Day has been celebrated annually since 2004 by Major League Baseball players, coaches, managers and umpires, who don #42 on their jerseys in honor of Robinson and his historic career.
