In the Know @ the Bentley Library

Bentley Library is pleased to announce a new integrated library system (ILS) coming this June. We are replacing our 16-year old online catalog and discovery platform with a new, cloud-based system from Ex Libris, called Alma/Primo. While Alma is the backbone of library operations, Primo is a cloud-based discovery service that’s designed to offer searching across the library’s catalog, subscription databases, and other digital collections through one interface.

Primo works seamlessly with Alma to offer you:

Financial Times Online (FT.com) goes beyond conventional business and financial analysis to cover the external drivers and trends shaping markets. A good example is its Moral Money newsletter that compiles news around the theme of Social Responsibility. And with Alphaville, you can take the pulse of markets through blog posts and aggregation of information from around the web on current business and finance topics. FT.com also carries out special investigations.

The library will remain open during Spring Break with some modifications to our normal hours. If you are staying in the area you can visit for a quiet place to relax, to borrow books and movies, or to pick up a museum pass.  

The February new acquisitions lists are now available for browsing! Go to the New Books & DVDs page to view the new arrivals by subject or format. When you see something you want, click the “Request” button to place a hold on it.

Our latest display places the spotlight on some of the most notable and interesting nonfiction received at the library during the last six months. Bentley Library Staff have hand-picked these books from each of their areas of interest to bring attention to titles you may have missed when they were first added to the shelves. You'll find a wide variety of highly recommended academic titles, as well as bestselling nonfiction that will appeal to all readers.

Within the O'Reilly database, Safari Tech Books offers books, audiobooks, case studies, videos, conference content and interactive tutorials on technology, computing, and business topics. 

O'Reilly provides a basic search box at the top of the home page that can be used to execute a keyword search for books, videos, live events, and more.
