Bentley University understands that benefits are an important part of your total compensation package, along with salary, generous paid time off, and tuition remission for eligible employees and their family members. The university’s comprehensive benefits program has been designed to provide security for you and your family and to assist you with planning for the future. Each benefit plan has its own requirements for eligibility and enrollment, as set forth in the relevant Summary Plan Descriptions. The university also provides a dynamic well-being program - Bentley Balance. Bentley Balance helps employees balance the demands of work, personal and family lives. Resources include an employee assistance program (EAP), health advocacy services, financial planning assistance, and a wide variety of physical and educational events and activities throughout the year.

Benefits Eligibility

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a minimum of 17.5 hours per week for at least nine months per year are eligible for most benefits offered by the university and are generally referred to as “benefits eligible employees”. Certain benefits are available to adjunct faculty, seasonal, and temporary employees on the Bentley payroll.

Domestic Partner Benefits Eligibility

Bentley strives to provide a comprehensive benefits package that meets the needs of our diverse community. Benefits coverage, where permissible by insurance contract or law, is available for an employee’s same or opposite gender domestic partner as well as for their eligible dependents. Due to federal and state law, there are potential tax consequences. The terms of the official plan documents, insurance certificates and Bentley policies will control.
