Service Awards

Bentley recognizes the many contributions faculty and staff make to Bentley’s success and reputation and celebrates those contributions on employees’ five-year anniversaries.  Each fall, Human Resources hosts two service award events.  The entire community is invited to an afternoon reception to honor employees who have completed 5, 10 and 15 years of service that calendar year.  Employees who have completed 20 or more years of service are honored at a lunch or dinner for the employee and a guest.

An employee's total years of service as a regular employee will be counted for purposes of the Service Award Program.  Time spent as a temporary employee will not be counted.  If an employee has more than one period of employment at Bentley, the time the employee was not employed at Bentley will not count toward the service award.

Example:  An employee works at Bentley for three years and then leaves.  Two years later, the employee is rehired.  The employee will have to work for two more years before being eligible for a five year service award.

Each service award honoree receives a gift with a Bentley insignia based on his or her length of service:

5 years - Desk clock
10 years - Vase
15 years - Bookends
20 years - Mirror
25 years - Gold watch
30 years - Bankers lamp
35 years - Chair or rocker
40 or more years – Cash gift
