John has more than 35 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting and operations with both public and private companies. Specifically, his background is in insurance and high-tech medical device manufacturing, specializing in operational assimilation, mergers and acquisitions and all aspects of debt and equity financing. He has been with Accession (Brown & Brown) for the past 20 years providing strategic, financial and operational leadership in growing the firm from $9 million to $1.7 billion in revenues, including more than 200 acquisitions. He led all aspects of the company’s accounting, FP&A, treasury, facilities and merger and acquisition activities until 2021 when he transitioned to focus exclusively on merger and acquisitions. Before Accession, John held leadership and managerial positions of varying responsibilities across medical device, senior care, real estate and defense industries. He joined the board in 2026.
