Interfolio

Introducing... Interfolio!

Bentley is excited to introduce one of its newest resources: Interfolio. It has an impressive lineup of products, all focused on supporting the entire faculty lifecycle and enabling higher education institutions to streamline processes and effectively progress forward.

Bentley will be adopting three of its products: Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR); Review, Promotion, and Tenure (RPT); and "Experts" Web Profiles. The transition will occur over several semesters, allowing time to focus on each product one-by-one. FAR will be the first.

Below you will find more information about Interfolio, its products, and our transition. If you have any Interfolio questions, this page is a great first stop, and it will continue to be updated as we progress through the transition!

Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR)

Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) is the first Interfolio product being introduced.

FAR is replacing Faculty Success (formerly Digital Measures) as your place to record your accomplishments both inside and outside the Bentley community and to complete annual activity reports. It will improve institutional reporting, reduce duplication, and include everything in one place.

To help you with the transition, we have created a bunch of resources, which you can access by selecting the button below.

Review, Promotion, and Tenure (RPT)

Review, Promotion, and Tenure (RPT) will replace our previous Brightspace promotion and tenure process. It will be integrated with FAR, which will streamline processes and enhance security.

You don't need to worry about RPT now; we will provide more information here when we begin its transition.

Stay tuned!

"Experts" Web Profiles

"Experts" Web Profiles creates faculty pages that highlight your research and scholarship. It provides a sleek interface, an enhanced scholarship network, and better external visibility.

Currently, a pilot for "Experts" Web Profiles is ongoing to determine if the Bentley community finds it useful and if it should be added as a permanent resource.

What is the "Experts" Web Profiles pilot?

As previously mentioned, we are moving from Faculty Success to FAR. Your Bentley profile page, at faculty.bentley.edu, will reflect what you input into FAR beginning in Fall 2025.

However, at the same time, we are also piloting another Interfolio product: "Experts" Web Profiles. "Experts" Web Profiles creates faculty pages that highlight your research and scholarship. It provides a sleek interface, an enhanced scholarship network, and better external visibility. Like the faculty.bentley.edu pages, it will get its information from your FAR inputs so you will not be entering information repeatedly.

There are 3 things that separates "Experts" Web Profiles pages from the standard Bentley profiles pages:

  1. Built for academic visibility. Designed for use within higher ed networks by peers, collaborators, and prospective students.
  2. Network visualization. Shows interactive maps of co-authorships and research connections.
  3. Research fingerprinting. Identifies key themes and areas of expertise from your body of work.

Eventually, we will ask for your feedback to see what you think of "Experts" Web Profiles, particularly if you feel that it adds significant value compared to what will display from FAR on your standard Bentley profile page at faculty.bentley.edu. This pilot and your opinions will help us understand what’s useful and where to go next.

We will provide more information about "Experts" Web Profiles and how you can share your feedback later.

Thank you for your help!
