Adamian Renovation: April 2026 Highlights
April 27, 2026
Dear Bentley community,
April 14 was a picture-perfect day for the Adamian Topping Off Ceremony—a proud construction tradition that marks the completion of the building’s steel frame.
The construction team’s precision (including balancing the ceremonial tree) was incredible to watch. The highlight for many of us was seeing the excitement of the entire community—especially our students—as they lined up to sign the beam, leaving their mark on Bentley’s history.
Next up: another opportunity for you to participate in Adamian's transformation. We hope you can stop by one of these events and give your opinion on the furniture that will help you work, study and innovate at Adamian.

Here are some of the key project highlights this month:
Construction progress:
• Structural steel has been erected for the building addition, forming the primary framework of the new space.
• Concrete floor slabs have been placed, creating solid floors for ongoing and upcoming work.
• Mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) rough-in continues on the 2nd floor—this is the installation of behind-the-scenes systems like wiring, piping, and ductwork before walls are enclosed.
• Spray-applied fireproofing has begun on the 1st floor structure, adding a protective coating to improve fire resistance and meet safety requirements.
Upcoming phases:
• MEP rough-in will continue on the 2nd floor as system installation progresses.
• Fireproofing on the 1st floor will continue, preparing the structure for upcoming MEP work in those areas.
• Roofing and parapet work will advance, helping to enclose the building and protect it from the elements (the parapet is the low wall at the edge of the roof).
• Layout and construction of interior partition walls will begin on the 2nd floor, starting to define rooms and interior spaces.

Every inch of the top beam was filled with signatures from the Bentley community.

President Chrite thanks everyone involved with the project for their support.

Another example of the Consigli crew making it look easy: the top beam sailed into the sky and was put into place within minutes.
