Adamian Center Updates

Dear Bentley community,

April 14 was a picture-perfect day for the Adamian Topping Off Ceremony—a proud construction tradition that marks the completion of the building’s steel frame.

Bentley University will celebrate a major milestone in the construction of the new Adamian Academic Center with two special events this April. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to take part in these traditions that mark the progress of the building and the community behind it.

In construction, everyone is always thinking several steps ahead. So while the site currently resembles the set of Frozen, ironically, some people on the construction crew are thinking about the fireproofing that will need to be done in the coming weeks.

Welcome back to campus and to a true New England winter! While the rest of campus was relatively quiet over the break, Adamian was a hive of activity.

As the photos below show, some of the recent progress on the Adamian renovation mean that walls and windows have been opened up. As temperatures drop, you may be wondering how construction crews stay warm while they work.

We continue to make good progress on the Adamian renovation.

On September 19 we held a celebratory groundbreaking ceremony that included leadership donors, our construction partners, and staff and faculty who are helping to make the Adamian renovation possible.

As everyone comes back to campus in the next couple weeks, you'll notice changes underway with the renovation of the Adamian Center. The new “scrim” (fabric material on the construction fence) is in place around the perimeter.
