Adamian Renovation: February 2026 Highlights
February 20, 2026
In construction, everyone is always thinking several steps ahead. So while the site currently resembles the set of Frozen, ironically, some people on the construction crew are thinking about the fireproofing that will need to be done in the coming weeks. And I think I can speak on behalf of the entire team when I say that we're looking forward to spring, maybe even more than our Bentley seniors!
Here are some of the key project highlights this month:
Construction progress:
- Foundation and footing work continues for the new addition in front of the building, stretching into the quad toward the library.
- Underground plumbing work is ongoing on the ground floor, preparing spaces for future interior systems.
- Steel framing installation has begun, starting from inside the existing building and progressing outward toward the new addition.
Upcoming phases:
- Installation of interior mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) hangers will begin. These are the supports that hold pipes, ductwork, and electrical systems in place above ceilings and behind walls, along with required fireproofing.
- Foundation and footing work for the new addition will continue.
- Continue building concrete block walls for stairways and elevator shafts.
- Steel installation will continue as stair and elevator cores and foundations are completed.
