Adamian Renovation: July 2025 Highlights
July 15, 2025
If you've been on campus this summer, you've probably noticed that the Adamian Center renovation is underway.
In the spring, faculty and staff with offices in Adamian were relocated across campus. We appreciate everyone’s adaptability to clear the way for construction teams to begin their work.
As the project progresses, we'll share monthly emails to keep our community updated. Here are some of the key project highlights this month:
Construction progress:
- Construction fencing has been put up around the site perimeter
- “MEP make safe” has begun - that is, disconnecting the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in preparation for demolition
- Exploration is underway to examine the building's existing condition and identify potential challenges or opportunities
- Non-structural demolition inside the building has started
- Concrete demolition and removal has begun in front of the building
Changes to campus access:
- The quad in front of Adamian and area in back of it are closed off
- The existing walkway in front of the main entrance to the library gives access from Morison across the quad to Lindsay
- The side entrance to Morison (facing the quad) is no longer accessible
- The stairs from the Tree dorms up the hill remain open to allow access to Lindsay
Upcoming phases:
- Continuation of interior and exterior demolition and site exploration
- Installation of Bentley blue wrap on the fencing around the site
