Entrepreneurship Hub

E-Hub Competitions

The E-hub facilitates and supports several activities and competitions organized by faculty and student clubs. The goal of these activities and competitions is to promote an entrepreneurial spirit among members of the Bentley community and provide multiple opportunities for Bentley community members to pursue and practice entrepreneurial efforts and activities. These activities and competitions are not purely aimed at networking and building professional relationships. Instead, they foster elements such as innovation and creativity, problem-solving, and risk-taking – ingredients that are necessary for entrepreneurship.

These activities/competitions can take several forms such as pitch contests, intrapreneurship challenges, social entrepreneurship, and many more. Faculty members can collaborate with the E-hub to integrate these activities/competitions into current course design across both Business and Arts & Sciences. Student clubs can also collaborate with the E-hub to build and support these activities/competitions. The E-hub provides logistics assistance, provides support for tangible prizes, promotes and activities/competition, helps to find judges and experts, and builds connections among faculty, student clubs, and across the two.

Francophone Entrepreneurs Podcast Competition

Tuesday April 30, 2024 - 5:00 - 6:20pm - LaCava 305B

Students prepare podcast episodes in French over several months, featuring interviews with French-speaking entrepreneurs. They craft episodes around entrepreneurial themes, conduct interviews, and create introductory, transitional, and concluding texts. They propose innovative solutions based on insights gleaned from their interviews.

Throughout the term, 6 Francophone entrepreneurs deliver in-person presentations. Students research the speakers and prepare questions. At term's end, three of these speakers, along with Prof. Astourian, serve as judges. Podcasts are evaluated on language, creativity, engagement, and entrepreneurial spirit, with prizes awarded for top performances.
