Bentley has joined with KPMG to support the MADA Scholars program, which provides recipients with a full scholarship towards a Master’s in Accounting (MSA) degree, mentorship, and customized career development support. The demand for diversity in the accounting profession is high, and this program aims to provide those groups who may be underrepresented in the profession with the financial, academic, and career support to start on a rewarding career in this field.
To be eligible, students must first be accepted into Bentley's highly ranked Masters in Accounting program.
MADA Scholar Details and Requirements
100% Tuition Funding
KPMG will provide $40,000 towards tuition and Bentley will discount the remainder of tuition and academic fees.
Faculty Mentorship
Fellows are assigned a faculty mentor and receive assistance navigating CPA requirements and preparation, dedicated career development sessions, and cohort-based social and networking opportunities.
Corporate Mentorship
Fellows are assigned a corporate mentor from KPMG.
Program Requirements and Details
- Students will be limited to 10 courses over one summer, winter, fall and spring (including May intensive courses).
- If students have not met foundational course requirements, tuition for those would be out of pocket.
- Students need to meet health care requirements (meet waivers or enroll out-of-pocket). Students that are registered for 6.75 credits or more must enroll or waive in the health insurance plan. If they enroll, they are responsible for the cost.
- Students will be allowed to take one Global Business Experience travel course, if it meets degree requirements. Expenses are paid up to the cost of graduate tuition while the remainder is out of pocket. Scholarship opportunities to assist with air travel is available with demonstrated financial needs.
- Text book and classroom materials will be out of pocket.
- Students must have a working laptop for school work.
- Hybrid attendance is offered but in-class participation on campus is highly encouraged.

Faculty Mentor Biography
Kerri-Ann Sanderson, Phd, CPA is an assistant professor in the Accountancy department at Bentley University. She is a former Big4 auditor and is a certified public accountant (CPA) with 10 years of experience in public accounting, internal auditing and corporate budgeting with Fortune 500 companies. Her research focus is in experimental-behavioral auditing topics specifically in the areas of auditor judgment and decision making, and internal auditing. Kerri-Ann's research is published in leading journals such as Contemporary Accounting Research, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Behavioral Research in Accounting, and Journal of Information Systems. She serves on the editorial boards of Accounting Horizons, Current Issues in Auditing, and Journal of Information Systems. Her teaching interest is in accounting information systems. She is an AICPA Doctoral Fellow and a KPMG Foundation PhD Project Doctoral Fellow.
