Help First-Year Students Find Their Flow

When the fall semester begins, The Falcon Discovery Seminar (FDS) and Collins Creative Corner will once again partner to create a Dialogue Through Art. This collaborative project is designed to foster reflection, conversation and connection across the Bentley community, and we’re looking for your help.

This year, peer leaders will engage first-year students in conversations about their hopes, expectations and concerns as they start college. Students' thoughts will be written on strips of paper, which will be incorporated into a waterfall-inspired installation in Smith Hall during the first week of classes.

Faculty, staff, returning students and alumni are invited to visit the installation, read students' reflections and write their own words of encouragement, advice or shared experience on provided blue cards starting Friday, September 3, through Friday, October 16.

Visit the Dialogue Through Art installation in Smith Hall and add your voice to the conversation. Together, the Bentley community can help its newest Falcons feel supported as they begin their college journey.
