Elizabeth Rotolo presented "Connecting and Supporting Historically Marginalized Students: Access, Opportunity and Empowerment" at the 2025 BCLC.
What motivated you to submit a proposal as a first-time presenter?
As a newer employee, it felt like a great way to meet colleagues across divisions and connect with others who care about lowering barriers to access.
Did you have any hesitations?
It felt vulnerable at first, but colleagues were engaged and thoughtful.
What did you gain from presenting?
It was validating to see colleagues have "a-ha" moments and explore new strategies together.
What would you say to someone unsure they’re ready?
There is no such thing as ready. Presenting with a colleague can also ease nerves.
Elizabeth Rotolo is the senior associate director of graduate programs for experienced professionals in Strategy and Innovation.
