Dear Kimia,

Kimia Pourshadi
    Kimia Pourshadi

The David A. Fedo Award for outstanding contributions to the arts and sciences is given to a student pursuing a liberal arts degree who exemplifies outstanding leadership and contribution to the Bentley community. The award was created in honor of David A. Fedo, who served as the Associate Dean of the Undergraduate College from 1980-1990. I am pleased to inform you that you are the 2020 recipient of the David A. Fedo Award. Congratulations!

I received many outstanding nominations from faculty across the arts and sciences in support of your selection for this award. It was a pleasure to read of your many accomplishments at the Writing Center, the Valente Center, in the Honors program, and in your English classes.

Your commitment to helping your fellow students with their writing and research, as well as your own accomplishments in creative writing and
literary analysis are truly impressive and make you more than deserving of this award.

While we would normally recognize this accomplishment at a celebration on campus honoring other outstanding seniors, we unfortunately cannot host such an event this year. We hope we will be able to celebrate your tremendous success at a ceremony in August.

Congratulations again, Kimia, on being the 2020 recipient of the David A. Fedo Award. I wish you all the best for your future beyond Bentley.

Sincerely,

Rick Oches Signature
