Associated Press.  Aaron Jackson, associate professor of economics, comments on an AP analysis of federal spending to stimulate the U.S. economy. “I’d be skeptical about putting too much more money into a second stimulus,” he observes, “until we’ve seen broader effects from the first stimulus.” Others to pick up the story: The New York Times, ABC News, CBS News, MSN Money, and Yahoo (January 11, 2010).

The Boston Globe. A Women’s Leadership Institute program – More Opportunities for Mothers, which helps women re-launch their careers – is the subject of a feature story (October 22, 2009). A special supplement to the Globe spotlights innovative diversity initiatives at the university and features Bentley students in “Are America’s Colleges the New Melting Pot?” (December 6, 2009).

Consumers Digest. Steve Weisman, senior lecturer in law, taxation and financial planning, offers a warning and advice to parents who lend money to their children, in “Helping Grown Kids” (December 2009).

Financial Times. “Ignore Technology at Your Peril” is the title of a thought-provoking essay by University Distinguished Professor Robert D. Galliers (October 26, 2009).

Investor’s Business Daily. Senior Lecturer in Management Fred Tuffile discusses industries that are ripe for new businesses in a recovering economy (October 23, 2009).

Forbes.com. Bentley announces the three student recipients of inaugural “give a year” scholarships, awarded through a program offered in partnership with City Year. Others to cover the story are Reuters and MSN Money (October 19, 2009).
