Schadee Scholarship Springboards Futures

President Alison Davis-Blake is pleased to announce two new additions to the Great Benefactors of Bentley: Robert ’66 and Muriel, MST ’99 Schadee. To honor Bob, who supported Bentley throughout his life and passed away in March 2018, Muriel has given $1 million to the university to support both expendable and endowed scholarships, including the newly created Robert J. ’66 and Muriel D., MST ’99 Schadee Endowed Scholarship Fund.

“Generosity of this magnitude is vital to Bentley, because it’s supporting talented, deserving students right now and well into the future,” says the president. Future Schadee Scholars can look forward to the same exceptional educations that Bob and Muriel received, while following in the footsteps of this remarkable fellow Falcon.

The Bentley Journal profiled Bob in his senior year, calling him a scholar, a leader and a gentleman, and adding: “If the old adage is true that a person is judged by his friends, an individual fortunate enough to call himself a friend of Robert J. Schadee is truly a better person.”

“We are truly fortunate to have had Bob as a member of our Bentley family,” adds President Davis-Blake, “and I am personally grateful to Muriel for ensuring his legacy will help generations of students with this generous gift.”
