What is a 'Master Mind?'
Dear Reader,
When I first thought about the blog’s name, “Master Mind,” I asked myself what that expression means to me. How has the Bentley MBA program, the lectures, the student community, and this journey I’m on change the way I think and behave? Bentley certainly has equipped me with great skills and knowledge for my future career. Even more important, it changed my character. So what is a Master Mind? For me, it’s not simply a graduate student’s brain, equipped with a business toolbox for a future career. It is more than that. A Master Mind is shaped for leadership, for an abundance of happiness and wealth, for unconditional success in life. It is integrally shaped by values and principles, aimed at making a difference in the lives of others. A Master Mind erased the word “impossible” out of its vocabulary. It has a burning desire for achievement and ambition. It dreams and focuses. A Master Mind is aware that it only knows so much. As a result, it studies the world’s great geniuses, poring over their writings, and listening to their conversations. A Master Mind has long-term goals and habits. It knows that the best habits are formed slowly and not always easily, so it shows patience. It also knows that preferences change over time, so it shows tolerance. And, above all, it cares for the brain through meditation and mindfulness, thereby ensuring the vitality of its single greatest asset. How would you describe your Master Mind? It might be something completely different from what I think — that’s part of the beautiful diversity of life. Be aware of what you value in life. Knowing that will help you to become a happier, successful, and more determined person. Creating a Master Mind is a lifelong process. You’d better start now. Picture: Gestaltbar / photocase.com
