International Student Ski, Ride & Tube Trip

Experience a true part of New England culture, snow sports. This trip offers international students the chance to try skiing, snowboarding, or tubing at a discounted price in a welcoming, supportive environment. CISS Director and avid skier, Susannah Marcucci, will be leading the trip and is excited to share her love of the mountains with you! If you choose to snowboard or ski, you will be able to rent equipment and take a lesson (highly recommended for new snow athletes). If you prefer, you can choose to snow tube-no experience is required!

Academic Internships: Process & Purpose

During the session, a Faculty Internship Advisor and representatives from Graduate Academic Advising & Engagement (GAAE), the Center for International Students and Scholars (CISS), and Graduate Career Development (GCD) will provide an overview of the purpose, timing, and the step-by-step process for securing and registering for either a 1-credit or 3-credit academic internship. The panelists will also be available to answer questions.

If you would like to work in your major field of study in the U.S. after you graduate, you must attend one of these sessions.  During the session, you will get an overview of OPT, including how to determine your eligibility, how to apply, and how to maintain your status while you are on OPT. There will also be plenty of time for questions. Please visit the OPT page of our website for details.  All of the sessions present the same content.  They are just offered on different days.

Curricular Practical Training (CPT) Information Sessions

If you would like to do an internship in your major field of study in the  U.S., either over the summer or during the school year, you may be eligible to apply for CPT. To learn more about CPT, you should attend one of these sessions.  During the session, you will get an overview of CPT, including how to determine your eligibility, and how to apply for CPT. During the session, you will get an overview of STEM OPT,  including how to determine your eligibility, how to apply, what the reporting requirements are, and how to maintain your status while you are on STEM OPT.
