The Bentley Fund

Bentley is dedicated to providing aid to as many talented students as possible — to create the strongest, most diverse classes, an environment that’s rich in talent, and every opportunity imaginable for those who’ve worked hard and deserve this exceptional experience.

Each year, the Bentley community generously raises more than $2 million through the Bentley Fund, providing vital resources to help ensure that every student’s academic experience is exceptional.

Ways you can contribute annually to the Bentley Fund

Scholarship and financial aid have always been critical at Bentley, and the university works to meet as much need as possible. But there continues to be unmet need for some students – now more than ever. You can help Bentley appeal to the best and brightest students to join our community with a gift of any size to general financial aid.

With a larger commitment, payable over five years, you have the opportunity to establish a Bentley Fund scholarship and further support current students.

Investment opportunities:

  • Endowed Scholarship: minimum commitment of $50,000
  • Current Use Scholarship: minimum commitment of $25,000
  • General Scholarship: gifts of any size

For more information about an endowed scholarship, contact Betsy Whipple at 781-891-2769 or For all other inquiries, contact Molly Paré at 781-891-7145 or

Give to Scholarships and Financial Aid

Every Bentley student should be able to focus on their education, even when facing unexpected duress. The Student Hardship Fund is available to students in the event of a change in employment status, food insecurity, unforeseen healthcare costs and more. In spring 2020, more than 200 students received funding to assist them through the unexpected changes due to COVID-19, and there were still more applications for funding. Your gift to the Student Hardship Fund will support as many students as possible who need temporary, one-time support to continue their Bentley education uninterrupted.

Dr. Earl L. Avery Scholarship

In honor of Earl Avery, a champion of diversity and inclusion and employee of Bentley for more than 30 years, the university awards an annual scholarship to academically talented students of color who demonstrate financial need. Your gift to the scholarship fund will continue Dr. Avery’s legacy, expand the cohort of Dr. Earl L. Avery Scholars and ensure that talented students of color have access to Bentley for years to come.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiatives

Bentley has created the Racial Justice Task Force to make recommendations that will make the university a stronger, anti-racist institution. Give to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives to support positive, lasting change.

Give to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiatives

More than ever before, Bentley needs to be able to respond quickly to unanticipated situations. When you make an unrestricted gift to the Bentley Fund, you give the university powerful financial flexibility to meet core priorities. More than $1M annually is contributed to the area of greatest need.

Increase Your Support

Every gift of any size makes a difference, and there are ways you can maximize your support to Bentley.

Monthly Gifts

In our world of automated subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu and Spotify, monthly sustaining gifts allow you to divide your Bentley gift into manageable increments through convenient automatic deductions from your debit or credit card. It’s easy to set up and has a big return. With $84 each month, you can contribute $1,000 annually to the Bentley Fund, become a President’s Club member, and ensure consistent support for today’s Falcons.

Matching Gifts

Many companies offer matching donations, so you can double or triple your gift. Some companies even match gifts made by retirees, spouses and members of boards of directors. Find out here if your company will match your donation.
