Bentley's original PreparedU research found that, despite tremendous strides, challenges continue to exist for women in the workplace — 77 percent of business decision-makers believe men are better suited for success in the workplace, and only 26 percent of women hold senior management positions.

So what can companies do to help women pursue business careers and remove obstacles that prevent them from moving up the ranks? 

Monetary policy is, by its nature, an unpredictable tool. Just ask an economics professor about the U.S. Federal Reserve. You’ll learn about its surprise policy announcements and about investors panicking over bad financial decisions and incorrect forecasts.

Indeed, the Fed holds the power to stabilize the economy or, if things go awry, throw it into chaos.

What matters more – where you go to school or how you go to school? Bentley University president Gloria Larson’s response to this question may surprise you. We sat down with President Larson to ask her about the return on investment of a college education and why she is such a big fan of millennials.

Bentley’s Class of 2019 arrived to campus, equipped with XL twin sheets, Command hooks, mini-fridges and chargers. The 925 students trekked from 44 countries and 33 U.S. states to their new home in Waltham, Mass.

Though many had already met virtually or during this summer’s orientation program, the class gathered as a whole for the first time at the convocation ceremony on September 3. And thinking ahead to the future was a common refrain throughout the event.
