George Cangiano Named Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Bentley University has appointed George Cangiano as vice president and chief human resources officer.

Cangiano has held this role in an interim capacity since October 2018 and brings a wealth of human resources leadership experience and a deep understanding of the Bentley community. At Bentley, Cangiano has also served as senior human resources business partner/labor relations, director of talent management, and director of human resources.

“I believe strongly in investing in the success of our faculty and staff because it is core to creating a positive organizational environment, “ says Bentley University President Alison Davis-Blake. “George and his team will ensure that Bentley supports and values each of our employees and continues to be an institution that celebrates diversity and inclusion.”

Before coming to Bentley, Cangiano spent six years in senior human resources positions at Tufts University where he oversaw strategic initiatives ranging from organization management to workforce planning.

Prior to advancing through the field of HR, Cangiano held various leadership positions in the hospitality and business services profession, working for organizations such as Regency, Marriott and Starwood Hotels. Cangiano holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Business Management from Newbury College. He also holds the PHR certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).
