Newsroom

Dear Students,

As was announced last week, we have launched the search for Bentley’s ninth president. The Presidential Search Committee, charged by Board Chair Paul Condrin to conduct this comprehensive search, held its first meeting yesterday afternoon. Consultants from Isaacson Miller – a national executive search firm that has been selected to assist in the search – helped facilitate an excellent conversation about the presidential search process. I believe I speak for everyone in saying that the committee is energized about the work ahead.

To help guide the first major phase of the search: producing a strong job description to be shared with potential candidates, the Committee is holding campus forums over Zoom for students, faculty and staff. Representatives from Isaacson Miller and the Committee will be present at all open forums to gather input from our campus community as a means to determine the key qualifications for Bentley’s next president.

There are two opportunities for you to join this conversation:

  • Student Listening Session: Wednesday, September 23, from 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Register for the September 23 session.
  • Student, Faculty and Staff Listening Session: Wednesday, September 30, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Register for the September 30 session.

We look forward to seeing you at these sessions over the next two weeks. Throughout this process you may also send questions, thoughts and ideas to the search committee by emailing ga_presidentialsearch@bentley.edu.

I will be in touch periodically over the course of the search to share news with you as we reach major milestones.

All my best,

Nick Stavropoulos ‘79

Chair, Presidential Search Committee
