Tips to Maximize Your Graduate Open House Visit On Campus or Online

Bentley University’s Graduate School is thrilled to be hosting Graduate Open House Sunday, October 24 both on-campus and online. This year we anticipate welcoming smaller groups in-person and hundreds online, meeting together in our state-of-the-art innovation centers and hybrid classrooms. Below you will find tips to fully prepare for the event and ensure you make the most of it.

1. Visit campus if you can. Experiencing campus in-person is important before you anticipate enrolling. Beyond exploring what Bentley campus has to offer, in-person attendance will allow you to better connect with faculty, staff, alumni, and current students. Through these individual interactions, you will have opportunities to learn more from their personal experiences. There will also be a student services fair in-person only. Here you will meet our Graduate Career Development, International Students and Scholars, Graduate Student Association, Academic Advising, Graduate Programs and Engagement, and Disability Services teams.

2. Considerations for online attendees. Be sure to review the event agenda and register for the sessions you would like to join in advance. You can select your personalized schedule next week. We will be sending an email with more detailed information to registrants leading up to the event.

3. Prepare questions. Take time to review program and service flyers before attending your sessions of choice. Having a list of questions ready and asking away will ensure you understand your desired program and the Graduate School community better.

4. Connect with the admission team post-event. Don't hesitate to follow up with our Graduate Admission team for one-on-one appointments after the event if you feel you didn't get all of your questions answered. We are here to help you! Additionally, if there is a session that you are unable to join, contact us and see if we have the recording available.

I hope these tips are helpful as you evaluate graduate school options and begin your application. Please feel free to reach me at mjin@bentley.edu for any questions regarding the event. If you haven't registered for Open House already, here is the link to get set up. See you on October 24!
