The Center for Women and Business at Bentley University today convenes its latest Best Practices Forum: “Time Out! Rethinking ‘Time’ and the Ways We Work.” Bringing together a group of prominent and diverse influencers, experts and practitioners, the one-day conference features CEOs, C-Suite leaders, consultants and academics who will explore issues related to overwork, provide examples of how various companies and professional services firms are addressing them, and allow participants to raise questions and to share with one another their own ideas and concerns.

Bentley University commencement ceremonies will be held on Saturday, May 17. Joe Moglia, chairman of the board of TD Ameritrade and Coastal Carolina University head football coach, will deliver the commencement address at the 95th annual undergraduate ceremony. Linda Zecher, president, CEO and director of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH), will deliver the keynote address at the Graduate School of Business 39th annual ceremony.

Hello everyone, Today I will be sharing with you some of the reasons why I chose Bentley. I learned about Bentley through one of their road tours in Latin America. Eventually, after doing some research online and comparing it with other programs I came up with the three most relevant factors for me.

When a panel of Bloomberg executives gathered at Bentley University’s PreparedU launch event, held at the media giant’s New York headquarters this past January, they emphasized one thing over and over: a college education should do more than just prepare students for jobs. This mirrors findings from Bentley’s preparedness research study, in which 74 percent of respondents affirmed the value of a college education in preparing students not only for their professional life but also for everything from pursuing a passion to contributing to society.

A Bentley student team successfully tackled complex IT security management issues and placed third at the national 2013-2014 Association for Information Systems Student Competition IT Security Track.

Directly or indirectly, millennials sure seem to be actively voicing their opinions about the culture of interpersonal relationships in the workplace: fairness, equality, recognition, and yes, even good manners.

Bentley Freshman Kevin Wivell took his chances on a risky stock and ended up placing in TheStreet (NASDAQ:TST) and the University of Dayton's RISE 14 "Next Great StockPickr" Competition. The challenge: Submit a 60-second video pitching any stock that he thought would show the biggest growth over the next year.

Bentley English and Media Studies Professor Barbara H. Paul-Emile, Ph.D., has been selected by the Women of the Harvard Club Committee as an honoree for the Third Annual Boston’s Most Influential Women of 2014.

The Accessible Icon Project was recently launched on the Bentley University campus in an effort to put a new face on accessible parking spaces for individuals with disabilities, as the International Symbol of Access is transformed from a passive stick figure into an active, engaged image.

Bloomberg Business has released its 2014 “Best Undergraduate Business Schools” rankings and Bentley University stands at #20 overall.
