Academic Technology Center (ATC)

The ATC assists faculty in the use of specialized statistical software and databases for academic research, including applications for data collection and visualization. 

In addition to offering consulting and technical expertise regarding data management and research methodologies, the center also builds and supports research computing infrastructure for high-performance and data-intensive projects.

Bentley Library

Bentley Library supports and enriches the university’s academic research and educational curriculum goals by serving as a gateway to information, providing access to quality resources and improving institutional outcomes through the teaching of information literacy. 

The Library offers specialized databases; an institutional repository, Scholars @Bentley; and Research Guides delivering curated information and links to specific topics of interest.

Institutional Review Board

Our Institutional Review Board (IRB) is committed to ensuring the safe and ethical treatment of human participants in our research. Federal and university regulations stipulate that all faculty, staff and student research projects involving human subjects are reviewed and approved by the IRB prior to their initiation.

The Office of Sponsored Programs

The Office of Sponsored Programs provides leadership and administrative support to members of the Bentley research community engaged in the development and submission of proposals for grants and contracts to governmental agencies and foundations.

Bentley Research Council Grants

The Bentley Research Council (BRC) recognizes the breath of research, scholarship and creative activities undertaken by faculty. Funding under this solicitation encompasses all research projects, including traditional disciplinary or cross-disciplinary scholarship intended for publication in academic journals, white papers or books; pedagogical research intended to rigorously test innovative methods for teaching and learning for publication in academic journals, books or best-practice guidelines; and creative works ranging from creative writing and cinema to theater or art.

Opportunities for Students

Honors Program

Student research is a key part of the Honors Program. Many students pursue lab or field work, work independently with a faculty member, and travel to present their research at conferences.
