More than Mentorship: How Sponsorship gets you into the ‘Room Where it Happens’
Join Management faculty member Dr. Amanda Sargent, to learn about the importance of finding and leveraging a “sponsor” and why this more active kind of mentorship is important for advancing women in their careers. Tips for identifying, advocating to, and even becoming a sponsor yourself will be shared in this interactive introduction to intentional social networking.
Barriers and Bridges: Empowering Women in Male-Dominated Fields
Join Economics faculty member Dr. Savannah Adkins to examine issues that commonly affect women in male-dominated fields including gender bias, stereotypes, finding support networks, work-life balance, and imposter syndrome. Dr. Adkins will examine these issues through an economic lens in assessing their impact on women’s career trajectories.
