First-Generation College Students

Bentley University is committed to providing a transformative educational experience to all students, and we are especially proud of our efforts to attract and retain students who are the first in their families to attain a degree in higher education. We have a variety of programs specifically targeted to first-generation college students (which we define as students whose parents or guardians have not attained a bachelor’s degree at any college or university). We know that first-generation college students are ready to take on business and society’s most pressing challenges, and Bentley will give them the tools they need to succeed.

First Falcons

Every day, we celebrate first-generation college students at Bentley. This year's incoming Class of 2026 has the highest number of first-gen students in the university's history and we recently recognized these students in a pinning ceremony that will become an annual tradition on campus. Learn more about how we support and celebrate these students year-round.

Information for New Students

Living on a college campus is an adjustment. That's why we developed a resource to make the process easier by helping all incoming students with things like knowing what to pack, milestones to expect, making the most of your life outside the classroom, and more.
