How did Bentley help you get to where you are today in your career?

Bentley helped me get to where I am today by offering industry relevant classes with high-quality content and individual and group projects that allowed me to work with real clients. The curriculum got me in the door of my first tech job with no experience, and the client-based projects taught me how to handle scenarios that I may come across in the workplace. What's really great about this program is that when I'm ready to do my own thing as an entrepreneur or freelance UX designer, I have that training now too. It's the best of both worlds: I can do the 9-to-5 thing for a company or I can work for myself, either way, I rely on my Bentley education heavily no matter which direction I choose.

What are the top three skills you gained in your program at Bentley?

• Understanding how to communicate better with designers and other disciplines that may be on a product team.
• Creating work-arounds when resources are strapped.
• Learning how to operate as a sole proprietor if I choose to be a freelancer.

What would you tell someone considering your program at Bentley?

Go for it! There are so many uncertainties with going back to school that it's easy to not go. You have no clue what's on the other side of you earning a diploma, but honestly just take a leap of faith. I did and it has been the best decision I've made for my career. I was so nervous and so concerned what my job prospects would be but within a week of graduating I had a job offer. The Bentley stats are the truth!
