Bentley University faculty member Dipayan Biswas received an award from the American Marketing Association (AMA) at their Annual Summer Marketing Educators' Conference held August 13 to 16, 2010 in Boston, Massachusetts. Biswas received the Award for Best Paper in the Consumer Behavior Track at the AMA Conference for his research on how consumers might make erroneous judgments when trying to compute mathematical averages.

In the most recent U.S. News & World Report rankings of America’s Best Colleges 2011, Bentley University is ranked #4 among “Best Regional Universities - North.”  Bentley is also ranked among the Top “Best Business Programs” in the country at #57.

In the business specialties category, Bentley’s Management Information Systems ranked #17 nationally and #2 in New England. U.S. News & World Report assigns rank to the top 20 schools out of 362 in this specialty category.

Bentley University is one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review. The New York-based education services company features the university in the just-published 2011 edition of its annual college guide, "The Best 373 Colleges" (Random House/Princeton Review). In the subcategories that feature rankings based on student surveys, Bentley ranked #6 for the Best Career Services, moving up from #12 last year. Bentley was also ranked #14 for the Best College Library and #18 for Dorms Like Palaces.

Effective July 1, 2010, the National Science Foundation awarded a $130,347 grant to Bentley University for the project titled "Integrating Earth and Environmental Science Education into a Business Curriculum Using Technology Enhanced Learning." High school students from across the country have gathered at Bentley University to get an inside look at the financial industry and a taste of college life. Wall Street 101 is a week-long residential business camp that runs from July 18 to July 24 on the Bentley campus in Waltham, Mass. First offered in 2000, the educational summer camp gained immediate popularity among future financiers and has been featured in USA Today and on CNBC.

The American College Health Association (ACHA) presented the national E. Dean Lovett Award to Geraldine Taylor, assistant dean for Health and Wellness and director of the Center for Health and Wellness at Bentley University, recognizing her contributions to Bentley, the community and ACHA -- particularly in regard to the H1N1 pandemic.

Changes in federal regulation in the late 1990s spurred spending on direct-to-consumer advertising (DTCA) of pharmaceutical drugs in the U.S. from $150 million in 1993 to $4.24 billion in 2005.

For the third consecutive year, Bentley University received an $189,702 grant from the U.S. Department of State to host a Summer Institute for Outstanding European Students (SIOE) from July 11 to August 15, 2010. Twenty-two undergraduate students from Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom will travel to Bentley to learn about the United States, its people and culture and develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills.

In May 2010 Adjunct Professor of Experience Design (UX) Jon Boroshok was awarded the Bentley University Service-Learning Faculty Award for leading a series of community service projects within his Public Relations Writing course.

Bentley University faculty members Jane Fedorowicz, Rae Anderson Professor of Accountancy and Information Systems, and Professor of Government Christine Williams, and Bentley PhD student Arthur Tomasino received a Best Research Paper award from the Digital Government Society of North America.
