Bentley’s Center for Business Ethics awarded the 2015 Hoffman Prize to MBA student John Serpico ’15 and Business Management senior Morgan Kruegler ’15 for their writings on business ethics.

Papers nominated for the $1,000 scholarship prize demonstrate academic strength and include a business ethics component. Every paper is read and assessed by a Bentley University faculty member and a seasoned ethics officer.

The Hoffman Prize was established at the Center for Business Ethics' 20th Anniversary Celebration in October, 1996, by CBE’s corporate advisory board and executive fellows to honor CBE’s founding Executive Director, W. Michael Hoffman.

Winning Papers:

  1. John Serpico, for the graduate paper entitled, "A 200,000 Person Family: Costco’s Conscious Choice to Retain Employees.” Mr. Serpico’s professor was Joe Weiss.
  2. Moran Kruegler, for the undergraduate senior paper entitled, “Ethical Implications of Orphan Drugs in the Case of Merck & Co.” Ms. Kruegler’s professor was Jason Megill.
