Bentley’s Professional MBA is a two-year, cohort-based program uniquely designed for busy, motivated professionals, aiming to accelerate their careers and enable them to excel as innovative business leaders in sustainable organizations driven by state-of-the-art technology innovation. This program allows students to balance their professional and personal lives while earning their MBA.

Graduates of the program will be prepared for the challenges of leading complex organizations. They will learn how to harness the power of data and technology to achieve career goals. Students will choose four of six focus areas with coursework that integrates central business subjects with the program themes of sustainability and emerging technologies.

Joining a diverse cohort of motivated individuals means learning from each other's experiences, exchanging valuable insights, and forming lasting connections crucial for your career. With 10 weekends on campus and an eight- to 10-day global experience, our in-person gatherings offer prime personalized networking and learning opportunities outside the classroom.

Program Structure

The Professional MBA program is tailored for busy professionals, offering a flexible schedule to complete your degree in two years so you can quickly advance your career, while also building a strong community with your cohort. By joining a cohort of motivated individuals from diverse backgrounds and industries, you'll learn from each other's experiences, share valuable insights, and build lasting connections that will benefit you throughout your career. 

The program includes ten on-campus immersion weekends across the two years, asynchronous weeks to define your schedule, synchronous weeks where you connect live with professors and other students in your cohort from your home or office, and one global immersion experience. The schedule is pre-established to ensure that students have ample opportunity to organize their professional commitments with their personal obligations well in advance.

Join a Community

The program features a cohort-based approach and periodic in-person gatherings, fostering an environment conducive to collaborative learning and networking. With 10 weekends on campus and an eight to 10-day global experience, students will not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also practical competencies essential for success in their career.

Specialized Professional Support

Students will engage in self-assessments to create personalized programs and select developmental workshops focusing on essential skills such as self-management, communication, teamwork, negotiation, creativity, and conflict management, all while receiving ongoing feedback and mentoring to maximize their development.

Harvard CORe

Professional MBA students will take Harvard University’s asynchronous Certificate of Readiness (CORe) which is made up of three modules: Business Analytics, Economics for Managers, Financial Accounting. Students will take these foundational courses before enrolling at Bentley, which allows them to hit the ground running and ensures that the cohort shares the same business foundation. Students choose from three dates to start (dependent on when they apply/are admitted). The dates for 2025 are: February 4 (17-week program), March 25 (17-week program) and May 20 (10-week program). The cost is included in the program tuition.

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 years work experience preferred

Tuition and Fees
  • The program is designed to be completed in less than two years over four semesters and a summer session. The total cost of the two-year program is $105,000, which will be split evenly across five semesters.
  • Students are responsible for the cost of travel and lodging associated with attending the required on-campus immersion weekends. 
  • The program cost includes tuition, books, food and events during on-campus weekends, global travel experience (in-country travel, meals and accommodations), Harvard CORe, and housing and experiences during the on-campus IGNITE kickoff weekend to start the program.

Iris Berdrow, PhD, Program Director of the Professional MBA
Iris Berdrow
Program Director and Professor of Management

Iris Berdrow is a tenured professor of management and the program director for the Advanced Standing in Business and MBA programs at Bentley University. Iris holds an MBA and PhD with a concentration in Organizational Behavior and International Management from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, Canada. She is published in MIT Sloan Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Long Range Planning, and the Journal of World Business. Her current research interest is in cross-cultural effectiveness, assessing learning outcomes, and competency-based education.
