December 1Department must submit Distinguished Lecturer application and accompanying department recommendation to P&T Committee, Dean, and Provost 
December 5Senior Lecturer promotion requests due to Deans 
December 10Waitlists close to students (Last day a student can add self to waitlist, also last day an offer would go out for the waitlist). Registrar clears waitlist on Dec 13th

  • By December 1 - Communicate and meet with Deans and Associate Deans about the department needs for the next recruitment cycle (Fall 2026).

  • Fall and Summer Course Scheduling discussions begin. In preparation for scheduling, reach out to your faculty for their fall schedule preferences, keeping in mind the need to teach the Discovery Seminar. Your Senior Associate Dean will reach out to you with guidance on scheduling.

  • Start talking to your faculty to get a sense of sabbatical plans and to encourage them to share a draft of their application with you before July 1 so that you can offer helpful guidance.
