Impact of Drug Price on Pipeline of New Product Launches

Legislation currently before Congress is aimed at reducing drug prices to ensure that essential medicines are available and affordable to all Americans. Corresponding to a major concern about such legislation is that reducing drug prices would lead to reduced industry spending on research and development (R&D) and slow the pipeline of new products.
