Bentley University's North Campus residence halls have earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) prestigious ENERGY STAR, the national symbol for protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency. This signifies that the buildings perform in the top 25 percent of similar facilities nationwide for energy efficiency.

Steve Pagliuca, managing director of Bain Capital & co-owner of the Boston Celtics, will be the keynote speaker at the 16th annual Raytheon Lecture in Business Ethics at Bentley University on April 7, 2011, at 3:30 p.m. in Wilder Pavilion, Adamian Academic Center. Pagliuca will discuss how teams are engines of business that run best on the energy of ethics.

The Bowles Performing Arts Series at Bentley University presents pop singer and songwriter Danni Rosner on Tuesday, April 5, at 6:30 p.m. in Wilder Pavilion (Adamian Academic Center) on the Bentley campus, 175 Forest Street in Waltham, Mass. Rosner will deliver an intimate performance with select members of her band.  A suggested donation of $10 will be taken at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Waltham Family School.

A paper co-written by P. Thompson Davis, professor of geology and paleoclimatology in the Natural and Applied Sciences Department, was the most cited article in Quaternary Research (Volume 65, Issue 1, 2006) between 2005 and 2010.

Bentley junior Jenna Cavicchia is one of five college undergraduates from campuses across the country to win $10,000 from the Liberty Mutual Responsible Scholars^TM Scholarship program.  Cavicchia was recognized for her work with the Mmofra Trom Bead Project. She is the second student from Bentley to receive this award; in 2009 Vinay Gokaldas '10 was a Responsible Scholars Scholarship recipient.

Sovereign Bank, a part of Banco Santander, announced today it has signed a three-year agreement with Bentley University that will establish the Santander Universities Study Abroad Scholarship Fund. The Fund will provide annual scholarships for Bentley students to participate in academic and service-oriented study abroad programs.  Sovereign Bank will provide financial support through Santander Universities, a major initiative created by Banco Santander to support higher education and advance the bank’s goal of expanding knowledge and experience throughout the world.

Bentley University professors David Yates, Girish (Jeff) Gulati, and Joseph Weiss were honored with a Best paper Award at the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS), held January 4 to 7, 2011.

The Bentley University McCallum Graduate School of Business was ranked among the top 75 graduate business schools in the country, ranking #73, in the recently released U.S. News & World Report rankings of America's Best Graduate Business Schools 2012.

The Design and Usability Center (DUC) at Bentley University hosts a User Experience Boot Camp for software and hardware engineers, industrial designers, and user experience specialists on March 14 - 18, 2011. The state-of-the-art program focuses on the growing importance of the user experience as a strategic business advantage and a point of differentiation in mature or hypercompetitive markets. The current curriculum will also reflect emerging market conditions and the latest employer demands.

In the 2011 “Best Undergraduate Business Schools” rankings by Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Bentley University ranks among the top 35 in the country, ranking #32 overall.
