Program: Master of Science in Human Factors in Information Design

Through the rigorous coursework and my work experiences at Bentley University User Experience Center and Ariadne Labs, I’ve discovered a few superpowers of mine:

• Being able to sit with the complexities and uncertainties of research problems patiently, till the threads gently start unwinding.

• Doing my research to do the research; the right questions don’t appear out of thin air.

• Familiarizing myself deeply with the gathered data during the cleaning and processing phase to go beyond superficial themes and connect the dots that lay underneath.

Phillip Kudryavtsev MSBA ’25

Program: Master of Science in Business Analytics

Over the past two years, I’ve grown tremendously in my technical skills and in my ability to perform complex, creative data analysis. But beyond the coursework, there are two lessons I’ll carry with me long after graduation:

1. Most complex topics aren’t as intimidating as they seem. Don’t let fear stop you from learning. Growth comes from curiosity and consistency, not confidence. Confidence is a product of growth.

2. Some of the best insights don’t come from textbooks or lectures alone. They come from your peers. Listening, collaborating and challenging each other’s perspectives complements your growth.

The decision to move to the U.S. and pursue a master’s degree in business analytics wasn’t easy ... When I started the program, many of the topics and tools were completely new to me. These past two years have been incredibly intense — exhausting at times, but also rewarding and transformative. Balancing a full-time job, graduate studies and family life taught me how resilient, adaptable and resourceful I can be. I now consider multitasking one of my superpowers.
