As we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we must ask ourselves the question: has his dream become a reality for Latinos?

We know that Dr. King inspired many Latinos, including Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta. Latinos, just like other Americans, consider Dr. King a great leader of the civil rights movement. If he were alive today, he likely would be working side by side with Latinos to address issues of inequality.

Bentley President Gloria Larson, along with guest experts, joined Bloomberg Radio’s Carol Massar and Cory Johnson, to talk about what higher education and industry can do together, to help advance women in the workplace.

Bentley University is naming the basketball court at the Dana Athletic Center in honor of women’s basketball Coach Barbara Stevens, who recently became the fifth women’s coach in NCAA history to surpass 1,000 career wins. 

Ninety seven percent of Bentley University’s recent graduates are employed, attending or planning to attend graduate school, according to statistics from the Class of 2017 six months after their graduation. And Bentley graduates’ salaries are on the rise, with a median starting salary of $57,000, up from $55,000 last year.

Bentley University is bringing its nationally-recognized career-search expertise to new audiences with the launch of a podcast that offers career advice to professionals and job seekers.

The Association for Information Systems (AIS) presented Bentley’s Jane Fedorowicz with the Sandra Slaughter Service Award, during a ceremony at the 2017 International Conference on Information Systems.
