Public Policy Degree

Economic development, education, national security, immigration, health care, financial markets: It’s all impacted by public policy.

Does the idea of being in the middle of it all pique your interest? Then you may want to consider joining the ranks of public policy professionals.

Our Public Policy Major

The first to be offered in Massachusetts at the undergraduate level, our Public Policy degree is similar to a Political Science major, exploring the implications of business and government decisions from every angle. You’ll develop some serious critical thinking skills, learn how to navigate complex relationships, and discover how to respond effectively to opposing ideas and arguments through course work and experiential learning opportunities.

Applied Learning Experience

In this major, you’ll also be required to complete an applied learning experience. Options include service–learning projects, directed study courses, study abroad programs, and internships through a semester-away program in Washington, D.C., as well as at local state and government agencies.
