Welcome Falcon Families!
How You Can Support Your Student During Registration
- Start the Conversation
Talk with your student to better understand the registration process from their perspective. Ask questions, listen, and encourage open communication as they navigate this new experience. - Encourage Preparation
Remind your student to thoroughly review all registration resources found on the New Student Advising and Registration website ahead of their assigned registration day. Suggest they rewatch the instructional videos and revisit any materials provided to ensure they feel confident and ready. - Offer Patience and Encouragement
Recognize that this can be a stressful experience, many students are registering for college courses for the first time. Be a calm, reassuring presence and remind them that feeling nervous is normal. - Reinforce Campus Support
Let your student know they are not alone. Bentley’s academic advisors and support staff will be available throughout the registration period to guide them and answer questions. - Promote Independence
Encourage your student to build their own schedule and register for classes on their own. This is an important developmental milestone that fosters responsibility and investment in their academic journey.
Please note: Students should never share their Bentley log-in credentials. Doing so violates the university’s Acceptable Use Policy they acknowledged upon enrollment.
