The Cronin Office of International Education proudly highlights the international education achievements of the Bentley University community. A lifetime of international learning begins with global ambition and the resources to actualize it. With collaboration with offices across campus, the Cronin Office offered more than $120,000 in annual scholarships for faculty-led and semester study abroad programs for the 2024-25 academic year. We are pleased to showcase these outcomes and the students who achieved them.

Faculty-Led Course: CS 444 to Singapore, Vietnam, and Malaysia
"The trip was beyond informative and educational on so many levels. Meeting CEOs, students, and important employees and stakeholders of companies brought huge insight into how the rest of the world is going through this transformative time. Learning more about Southeast Asia’s politics and business was unique to what I have always known from living in the U.S."
The Kiszewski and Stoner International Travel Fund offers support to students with financial need to participate in a short-term, GBE, or Faculty-led International Course each academic year. The fund is named in honor of Anthony E. Kiszewski and Elizabeth W. Stoner, two tenured NAS Department colleagues that regularly teach faculty-led international courses at Bentley University.
Scholarship Recipient Testimonial: Carolyn LaCroix
Faculty-Led International Course: NAS 444 to the Bahamas
"One of the most eye-opening days of the course was our visit to High Banks Bay, where we conducted a plastic pollution activity. After hiking through the Abaco National Forest, we arrived at a remote beach, which was untouched by any human development. But the shoreline was littered with plastic debris. Seeing the impact of plastic pollution in such an isolated place was deeply moving. We collected and recorded data on the types and quantities of plastic we found and got to analyze our findings afterwards. It was a powerful reminder that human impact reaches even the most pristine environments.”
The First Falcons Internship Abroad Scholarship is a unique opportunity awarded to one first-generation Bentley student to gain international work experience and expand their global perspective. This scholarship provides up to $15,000 to help cover the costs associated with participating in an internship abroad during the summer, including travel, accommodation, and living expenses.

EUSA Summer Internship in London
"As a first-generation, low-income student, receiving this scholarship has changed me in ways I can hardly describe. Being chosen as one of the very first recipients was not only an honor but also a reminder that my journey matters and that people believe in my potential. Your generosity has opened doors to experiences that have profoundly shaped my personal, academic, and professional journey.
Spending my summer in London was a life-changing experience. Walking the streets of a city so rich in history, engaging with locals, and navigating daily life in a place far from home forced me to grow in confidence, independence, and perspective. I learned that I am capable of adapting and thriving. Learning to navigate both acceptance of individuality and awareness of class dynamics in London has given me a stronger sense of the inclusive values I want to live by.
My internship in luxury fashion, tech, and innovation gave me skills and insights that I will carry home and use for years to come. I learned practical tools, such as how to market effectively to different clients, analyze search trends and apply that knowledge toward content creation. I also learned the value of adaptability in an industry that is constantly shifting, especially with the growing influence of artificial intelligence. Most importantly, I gained wisdom from my boss, who shared her journey through multiple industries and encouraged me to keep an open mind about new opportunities. Her mentorship showed me that success often comes from being willing to step into unfamiliar spaces, take risks, and embrace innovation. These lessons will guide me not only academically, but also professionally as I continue to explore how creativity and technology intersect."
