Congrats on your acceptance to Bentley University. We're excited that you've decided to join us for your graduate studies! Here are some next steps to help you get started:

Getting started...

The following services are available to you after submitting your graduate school deposit. If you have not already done so, you may pay your deposit in your applicant portal -- contact Graduate Admission for further assistance with deposit questions.

Workday Student Onboarding Tasks

You'll use Workday Student to view your schedule and grades, access schedule planner, register for classes, add, drop, or swap classes, view your financial aid, pay your bill or request a refund, and access Degree Works and schedule advising appointments. However, before all that, you'll want to complete your Workday Student Onboarding Tasks.

Brightspace is a web-based Learning Management System.

Essentially, it is a website that class participants can access any time from any computer with an Internet connection.

Brightspace is used to find:

  • Uploaded course-related materials, including syllabi, profiles, presentations, audio and video files.
  • Receive updates from instructors about course information.
  • Access to online collaborative tools such as discussion boards, blogs, and wikis.
  • Submit assignments online, take tests and surveys electronically, and locate grades and anti-plagiarism tools.

For more information on Brightspace, watch the tutorials here.

Zoom Class

If you have not used Zoom before, you will find everything you need on our Getting started with Zoom page!

You can also download an official Bentley University Zoom Background for extra pizzazz.

All students are provided with a student license for Office 365. This includes 1TB of secure cloud storage in Microsoft’s Office 365 OneDrive. Microsoft Office 365's suite of office applications can be accessed from on-campus and from anywhere you have an internet connection.

New to the area?

Bentley’s proximity to Boston is a great advantage for graduate students. The city is home to more than 250,000 college students who enjoy socializing, learning and meeting others from around the world. Check out some resources about how to get around or to find housing.

Shuttle Service

Please check the Bentley University Shuttle Website for shuttle routes and schedules. If you will be driving to campus for classes, you will need to obtain a parking sticker for your vehicle. Depending on location, some graduate students also use other transportation options to get to campus such as taxis, public transportation, and car-share programs.

Finding A Place To Live

Bentley University has partnered with Off-Campus Partners to provide graduate students with the ability to search for and find off-campus housing accommodations in the Waltham and Greater Boston Area. Bentley University does not have on-campus housing available for graduate students. To access the Off-Campus Housing Service site you will need your Bentley email address. If you plan to use the shuttle, please use the shuttle link above when considering all housing options.

As we get closer to the start of classes...

To help you prepare for the start of classes, check out the Online New Grad Portal and completed any last-minute tasks.

Obtain your Falcon Student Card

New students can upload their own Bentley ID photo for their Falcon Card. By using this process, you will avoid lines and save valuable time. Please go to MyPhoto and login by using your Bentley email and network password. Students can visit the Campus Police Card Office as early as three weeks before the start of classes to obtain their student ID.

Parking Permits

For those attending classes on campus, all campus parking lots are permitted and require students to register their vehicles and display a university permit. Registration may be completed by logging into the Bentley Community Engagement and clicking on the Request Parking Permit tab (the login link is at the top right of the web page). After you have registered your vehicle online, you can pick up your parking decal at the University Police station. Bring your valid driver's license, valid motor vehicle registration, and Bentley ID card in hand.
