How Many Exam Sections Can I Study for at One Time?

Due to the compressed schedule of the  winter session, registration is limited to one exam section.

How are Classes Structured?

This is an asynchronous course. Students will submit assigned work at regular intervals. The instructor will require regular check-ins to make sure progress is being made on the course materials at a rate that will allow successful completion. These classes are pass/fail, which is sufficient for CPA licensure purposes. Completing 75% of assigned lectures, and achieving 75% correct on homework and simulation questions is required to pass the course.

Can International Students Requiring a Visa Take This Course?

These are asynchronous courses and cannot satisfy student attendance requirements for international student visas.

What is the Cost of each Course?

The cost of each 3-credit course is $1,050 and payable in advance.  If the student needs access to the required Becker CPA review materials then the cost is payable directly by the student to Becker and is an additional $450 per section.

How Do These Classes Count Towards CPA Exam Licensure?

The courses will NOT count toward degree completion but will count towards your 150 credit hours and appear on your transcript.  Assume your state will NOT count these as minimum required accounting credits.

When Should I Take These Courses?

The courses can be taken before or after graduation but it is recommended they are completed as close to taking the exam as possible.

How Much Time is Needed to Complete Each Exam Prep Section?

This will vary by part and by student.  Generally, it takes 60-80 hours to complete the materials for each part of the exam.  However, some students will watch portions of lectures more than once or take longer to complete homework and practice exams.

Is There a Free Transcript Evaluation to Determine How Many Credits I Need to Sit for the Exam?

Bentley does not offer to review your transcripts, but you can benefit from checking if you have enough credits or calculating any shortage of credits by using the following services:

1. Free transcript evaluation:  https://www.cpacredits.com/transcript-evaluations/.

2. Contact NASBA for more details about addressing specific shortfalls with appropriate course selections: cpaes-ma@nasba.org.
