While an employee is on leave, Bentley will continue the employee's health, dental, vision, life, LTD and AD&D benefits on the same basis as if the employee continued to be at work. Bentley will continue to pay its share of any premiums during both paid and unpaid periods of leave.
During any paid portion of a leave, Bentley will continue to withhold any employee share of premiums from the employee’s paycheck. While an employee is on an unpaid leave, the employee will be billed for the employee’s share of premiums by Sentinel Benefits. Sentinel Benefits will send employees information about how to pay the employee’s share of premiums, including payment deadlines and details about what will happen in the event of non-payment.
During any unpaid portion of a Leave, retirement contributions cannot be made either by Bentley or the employee. Retirement contributions are handled differently for Military Leaves under USERRA. Please see Military Leave under USERRA for details.
