As the force behind Bentley’s commitment to gender equity, the Center for Women and Business collaborates with departments and student organizations to strengthen the women+ experience and expand access to leadership development. Through educational programs, networking opportunities, and immersive experiences, the CWB provides students, faculty, and staff with the tools and support to transform knowledge into action and lead with purpose.

Strategic Plan

Turning Strategy into Action for Gender Equity

The CWB leads Bentley’s Gender Mix Action Implementation Group (AIG), a university-wide initiative chaired by Dr. Yaro Fong-Olivares that advances gender equity through Focus Area 4: Access and Opportunity within the Falcons Forward 2030 Strategic Plan. The AIG drives progress across four key areas of impact: in the classroom, admissions and marketing, beyond the classroom, and careers and partnerships. This work reflects the CWB’s deep integration into Bentley’s long-term goals and our belief that investing in women+ is just good business. Through this leadership, the CWB strengthens Bentley’s commitment to creating an inclusive environment where women+ can lead, thrive, and rise to the C-suite.

Save the Date

In collaboration with the Badavas Center, the CWB has redesigned its annual Gearing Up Conference into a dynamic, year-round leadership experience that blends Bentley’s digital and in-person learning strengths. Gearing Up: A Career Catalyst builds on Bentley’s world-class business education to empower early- to mid-career women+ through interactive workshops, on-demand courses, exclusive content, and opportunities for professional and community growth.

While this expanded approach offers more growth and connection opportunities for our external partners, the CWB will continue to bring the Bentley community together by creating a new tradition: hosting the Gearing Up Leadership Awards and Celebration of Women+ luncheon in March as the culminating event for Women’s History Month. This shift enables greater participation from faculty, students, and staff and board to join our external network in celebrating the collective impact of women+ and allies advancing gender equity in the workplace.
