General Information About Time Away From Work

Bentley provides employees with paid time off for relaxation and rejuvenation, to spend time with friends and family, and to attend to certain obligations.  For employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement, these policies work in conjunction with, and do not replace, amend or supplement any terms or conditions of employment stated in any collective bargaining agreement that a union has with Bentley. Union employees should consult the terms of their collective bargaining agreement.

Some types of paid time off are accrued on an hourly basis for both exempt and non-exempt staff employees, at the rate indicated in the policies in this section.  For all types of accrued paid time off, non-exempt employees can use that time in quarter-hour increments.  Exempt staff can use partial time in an increment of four hours, for using more than four hours, but less than a full day of accrued leave time. Exempt employees who take off less than four hours are expected to make up their work in a timely manner.
