Mission:
The Climate Creativity Lab is a transdisciplinary collective at Bentley University dedicated to promoting artistic and creative responses to the climate crisis and imagining more just and sustainable futures.

A Creative Collective for Climate Engagement:
The Climate Creativity Lab brings together faculty, staff and students from English and Media Studies, Natural and Applied Sciences, the Office of Sustainability and Bentley’s art curation to explore how creativity can deepen climate understanding and engagement. Through creative teaching, public humanities work, collaborative research and events, the Lab explores how storytelling and artistic practice can deepen climate engagement and help imagine more just and sustainable futures.

Climate Fiction Showcase highlights original student work from EMS 336: Creative Writing: Climate Fiction, taught by Val Wang, Associate Professor of English and Media Studies. In this course, students transform climate research and environmental challenges into compelling works of fiction that explore our relationship with a changing world. Through storytelling, they examine themes such as resilience, adaptation, hope, and environmental change. This showcase features a collection of student creative works and final projects from EMS 336, organized by academic year.
