Bentley provides time off from work due to family illness in accordance with federal and state laws, and University policy.

Pay During Leave
The employee may use up to four days of accrued sick time for this leave. The remainder of the leave is paid through personal time and/or vacation time. The employee may retain up to one week of vacation time for future use. If accrued time off has been exhausted, the remainder of the leave would be unpaid. Employees would be billed for benefit contributions during the unpaid portion of the leave. If an employee is out before the 10th of the month in an unpaid status, holiday pay, vacation and sick accruals stop for that month.
This policy may be amended at any time.
