Personal Property

Employees may keep personal property in university-owned property such as desks, files, closets, lockers, etc.  However, employees should be aware that Bentley may inspect university-owned property including desks, files, closets, lockers, or other places employees may store personal items, in connection with the investigation of a violation of a university policy or to maintain a safe workplace.  Employees should leave personal property in their cars or at home if they do not want to have their personal property subject to search in the event of such an investigation.  Under no circumstances should guns, weapons or other dangerous materials be brought on to Bentley property.

Bentley is not responsible for the loss, theft and/or destruction of an employee's personal property. Therefore, Bentley strongly urges employees to take the precautions necessary to safeguard their property.
