What is a carbon footprint?

Your primary carbon footprint is a measure of the amount of greenhouse gases emitted from the burning of fossil fuels through routine activities such as driving to work or heating your house or room.Your secondary carbon footprint is a measure of the indirect emissions from the lifecycle of products we purchase; for example, buying food that travels a long distance or choosing clothes from overseas adds to your footprint because additional greenhouse were emitted through shipping these products.
