We typically seek college-bound high school seniors, primarily from urban areas. Students must demonstrate that they are academically capable, motivated, disciplined and have a high potential for success; students also must have completed the ACT or SAT.
STEP students often are among the first in their families to attend college and have pursued a rigorous college preparatory curriculum that includes English, math, history, laboratory science and a foreign language. Most have held leadership positions and participated in their school or community through personal projects, employment and extracurricular activities.
